I almost gave it one star, but I've only been here once and would not want to downgrade it that far without more than one visit. And I won't be giving it another try, unless someone I really want to share a meal with insists on eating here. I stopped in for lunch and ordered a lamb kabob sandwich ($6), lentil soup ($3.99) and a can of coke ($1.50). The lentil soup was very good, creamy and nicely spiced. Two problems with the kabob, one of which may only be a problem for me. First, the menu lists several sandwiches and describes what each contains. Unfortunately for me, it did not disclose that the lamb kabob sandwich contained onions. But mine did; raw red onions to be specific. I don't like onions, and because the menu listed several of the other sandwiches as containing onions, and this one did not, I did not bother asking to hold the onions. Obviously, this would not be an issue for onion lovers, but it left a bad taste in my mouth (literally and figuratively). The second problem with the kabob sandwich was that the meat lacked flavor, either from the grilling or seasoning. Part of the reason I am writing this after only one visit is that the prior review mentioned a lack of seasoning in some other food, so maybe this is an issue with their cooks that might be corrected. They have a small dining area, but did seem to be selling a decent amount of carry-out. A couple of other minor issues were that they do not have iced tea available, and that I could not find soup on the menu. I asked about soup and was given two choices by the server. This appeared to be a family owned/operated business, which I consider a positive. But to wrap up, I felt that my lunch was overpriced, and at least some of the food I had was not very good. Fortunately, the area has several other decent choices for Mediterranean food.

The best mediterranean food I have had outside the Mediterranean. Chicken shawarma sandwich is amazing get Labna with it and falafel. The women at the counter knows my GF by name and is always asking how we are doing. She is super friendly!! They are great when we ask for Extra bread. Have not actually eaten in but take out always makes us smile. They will be catering my Gfs next birthday party.

Order from here quite a lot. The food is always so fresh and deliciously seasoned. The 4/5 stars is only because it boggles my mind that they are always soooo generous with portion sizes yet always skimp on the pita bread? Very odd to place a large order meant to serve 6 or more and get home to find 3 pieces of pita bread... Kinda annoying that it happens regularly but the food and ranch sauce keep us coming back ;)

I have been here several times and the food is priced well. I think they have the best chicken and beef shawarma around. Fattoush is good as well as other dishes. Great place if you're craving middle eastern.

I order from this place all the time for our family gathering as they have great food quality, taste, service and prices. Last week I took few ppl from my company from different states & ther were shocked by the amount of food, taste & price.... 4 of us ate for only $55, and we had leave 30-40% of the food untouched.... Good place for catering, as their seating not as fancy like JA or Champs across the street, but their food is by far is much better...

This is my favorite Middle-Eastern restaurant. I eat Mediterranean food frequently and when I am craving it this place never disappoints. All of their food is so good and fresh! My family orders trays from here all the time and it is always delicious. I would highly recommend this place. The hummus and tabbouli and great and very tasteful. Also, their lentil soup and lemon rice soup are great too. All of their sandwiches are very good. My favorites from here are the chicken cream chops and chicken kabob. This place is great for a quick bite and great for carry-outs.

My boyfriend is Armenian, and we have tried every middle eastern restaurant from novi to warren to dearborn. Princess is by far the best. Even our children and grandchildren love it! We get the combo for six at least twice a month, it feeds 10 of us with leftovers. The garlic sauce is amazing! They do need to add more pita when you order a combo, but we tell them extra pita, and they include it, no problem. The servers are very friendly and efficient. We call ahead with a pickup time and its always ready and hot when we pick it up.

Was there a year ago and had a "fair" meal. Gave it a second chance 6 months ago only to get (probably) the best middle eastern food around. Not sure what's changed but I've been back many times since and never had a bad meal since.

This place is filthy! The carpet is very soiled and if you stand at the counter to wait for take out, you can see that the kitchen is even worse. Hard to give the food a fair assessment under these conditions!

Yes I like this place this much to help them out and posted pictures of their menu. For some reason their website doesn't work and the menu on the Facebook site is unreadable. Food = delicious. That's it. Had their lamb kebob. Just simply great pieces of lamb. Cooked just right that you can certainly taste the juiciness of the lamb meat. Mmmmhh! Will certainly go back! I would definitely recommend it. Try it!! --keep eatin'

Food was ok service was horrendous. They took care of every regular and friend that came in and we were completely ignored. Had to actually go up to the counter and ask to pay. Just a weird experience. There are better middle eastern places in the area that have better service and don't make you feel like an outsider. Disappointed

I have been to many Mediterranean restaurants from Dearborn as well as northward and have had tasted the good as well as the bad. I was a bit hesitant when a Middle-Eastern food supplier suggested I try this place, however curiosity got the better of me and I made the trip just before the Labor Day weekend. I was not aware of it's location but found it easily just North of 14 mile on the East side of Orchard Lake Road. The restaurant is rather small and there were few customers at the tiime, but it was late in the afternoon before the holiday so that could well be why.. The lentil soup I ordered was by far the best I have ever tasted and the chicken schwarma sandwich was also very good. The tabouli had the classic taste of tabouli made from fresh ingrediants and just a hint of mint-as it should.. My wife also enjoyed both her lentil soup as well as the chicken-fatoosh salad. A very minor disappointment was that they do not serve fresh juice however the quality of the food and the excellent service were enough to make it a non-issue. After all it's a restaurant not a juice bar. We will certainly return to this place and I will adjust my rating if needed however from my first visit I would think this highly unlikely. If you find yourself in this area -give it a try.

Best Middle Eastern cuisine in the area...and metro-Detroit has more Middle Eastern restaurants than fast-food joints. It is of the Iraqi Chaldean/Assyrian variety, but you can only tell if you have a refined Middle Eastern palate. We order a family-sized tray from there once a week. Best beef shawarma. Hands down. Everything else is great as well. But the beef shawarma. So. Good.

I am obsessed with their fattoush and chicken cream chop sandwich. I literally eat it every single day. I have no idea why the person said the chicken was overcooked it is so good to me! Their fattoush is so sour I am obsessedddd. They are also sooo damn nice to me every time I go in. Love it!

Family owned operations are great for ethnic food. This Chaldean owned business, is not exception. The portions served are massive. Here's a tip, if you are a plate for as many as you have at your table, be prepared for a carry out or an immediate couch session. I've eaten here 30 times in the past two years. Their food is fresh, and their catering is always the first thing I eat at gatherings. If ranch is your passion, go all in on a bottle of the family recipe, order the IV, and stick it to your veins (or get a straw and enjoy liberally). You'll be hard pressed to find another restaurant staff so pleasant, quick, and appreciative of your patronage. Tell them Derek sent ya!

I'm really torn on this one, between 3 and 4 stars. Hummous and garlic - good and good. Served without pita. In a carry out order. So we had to go back out and get some. Bad. Shawarma sandwich - okay. Falafel sandwich - okay. Shish khafta - decent. Veggie medley ordered without water chestnuts but served with water chestnuts - bad. 2 lentil soups, one person liked it, the other did not. The free relish not ordered but provided -good. I think I'd try it again because it was pretty good and closer than other places. That said, 4.5 overall stars it is certainly not.

My girlfriend and I stopped here yesterday while on our way back from visiting friends. We usually stop at New Sahara, but decided to give this place a try instead. We were happy we did. There was a large family of about 8 adults and 10 children eating, which made the atmosphere quite loud. There are about six tables for four and two tables for eight. There were only two tables open when we arrived. We were immediately given water and pita bread with some sort of pickled cabbage salad. I wasn't a fan at all and was starting to miss the usual fresh bread and garlic spread from New Sahara. I ordered the combo tray for one. My lentil soup was amazing. The tray came with one chicken kabob, one chicken kafta, one beef kafta, a decent portion or shawarma meat and a plate full of rice. The meat here is seasoned a lot better than New Sahara. I'm not sure what the other reviewers tasted. The shawarma melts in your mouth. My girlfriend got the beef shawarma sandwich and a fattoush salad. The salad wasn't everything she hoped for but the shawarma sandwich made up for it. The only complaint I have is that all of our food was brought out at once. I would have preferred soup and salad first and then entrees. This place's phone rang every ten minutes, with a steady flow of Caucasian and Chaldeans coming to pick up to go orders. The two ladies running the front counter and waitressing were extremely nice and pleasant. Although this place is a little more expensive than New Sahara, we will rotate back and forth between the two, the fresh bread and garlic spread is worth it. Don't forget to ask for some of their homemade ranch sauce, it compliments the meat and rice quite well!
